when you expect your site to rank high and retain that position it holds for a longer period of time, then its an essential part that you need to establish your trust rank with Google, although there are lots of factors involved in establishing trust rank with Google and other search engines lets focus on top five steps that you need to give more importance while building up your site from scratch.

1. Build Natural Links

What do I mean by natural links? I mean links that looks legit from search engines point of view and doesn’t look like something that is made artificially, links from general directories can be taken as an example here, search engines no longer consider links from general directories due to heavy spamming in that area, also links that are from a site that in anyway related to yours, if you have a site on SEO and when search engines finds your link on a recipe site then that link doesn’t look that legit from search engines point of view.

2. Build A Site That Grows Over Time

Do not by any mistake build a site with hundreds or perhaps thousands of post over night, its not a good practice, there are people who design bots to post in their blogs 24/7 and the post count on their blogs keeps increasing like a virus, this is not a good practice to do. Build a site which is consistent, consistent in the sense make it look more natural, when you build a blog there is no possibility that you can make more than 20 posts a day or if you are really good at writing then may be perhaps 30 posts a day, but its humanly impossible that any person can make 300 or perhaps even 3000 posts a day. 4. Do Not Over Use Keywords

You need to pay attention on amount of keywords you are using in your pages, do not keep repeating your keywords like 20 or 30 times in a post, search engines look at those posts as spams. Try to keep your keyword usage limited in fact its enough if you use your keywords twice or thrice in a page.

5. Build Authoritative Links

Build links on a site that has already established some trust with search engines, when you do that your links carry more weight from search engines point of view and they value your links to a high degree, buying a link in yahoo directory will prove to be of great help and will really help you boost your rankings though it costs you some money, listing your site in DMOZ directory also carries some value, reason is because these sites have established a strong trust rank with Google and other search engines.
