Add Url To Search Engines Like Google, Bing, Yahoo And Ask
Although I don’t really recommend my clients to submit their urls to search engines, there are few exceptions where webmasters tend to find this inclusion feature from search engines quite helpful. So this tutorial is to help people who do not know to how to submit their urls to search engines directly.
Submitting Your Site To Google:
Submitting your url to Google is quite simple all you have to do is follow this link, enter your url and possible comments, but just know comments are just optional, fill out the captcha and click add url as simple as that. Its also a good idea to create an account at Google webmaster tool to know whether your site was being crawled by Google bots or not.
Adding Your Site To Bing:
Submitting your url to bing is almost the same as in Google, just that you won’t have the comment section. just enter the url of your homepage and fill out the captcha then proceed to submit url button. You are done as simple as that. Submit your url to Bing
Submitting Your Site To Yahoo Search Engine:
Unlike Google and Bing where you can simple fill out the details required and submit your url. Yahoo allows you not only to submit your url, it also allows you to submit your feed. Also You might just want to register, so make sure you have an account with yahoo, if you don’t then try to create one. Submit To Yahoo
Add Url To Ask:
Ask doesn’t allow you to directly submit your site url to their index, instead they would allow you to submit your sitemaps to them. If you don’t have a sitemap just make sure to create one before proceeding further. Once you have created a sitemap make use of the following url format to submit your sitemap to ask.
http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.the URL of your sitemap here.xml
replace the www.the URL of your sitemap here.xml to the location of your sitemap and enter the link the address bar of your browser and proceed to the link.
Hope this tutorial helped you to answer the question how to add url to search engines. My best bet to get your site in the index of popular search engines like Google would be to build credible links from where your site could be found by search bots.
Also I wouldn’t waste my money to someone claiming that he/she will submit your site to thousands search engines because according to me its useless. Having your site indexed top 5 popular search engines would be more than enough in my opinion.
