Optimizing your page titles is something is something that will make your site to stand out of the crowd. I have came across plenty of sites with very good contents in them but they fail badly to grab the attention it deserves and one of the main reason being not using the page and post titles properly to their advantage. In this article I want to give you some useful tips on how you can SEO page and post titles in wordpress blog that will help you immensely to rank well and get some real visitors flowing in to your blog.

Look For The Phrases People Search For:
You need to know what phrases which people use or they might use in order to find the content which you just want to post on your blog. So how can you know what people look for in search engines? That’s where the Google keyword tool comes in to place. I personally try to use this tool every time I get an idea to write about something. For example when today I wanted to write an article about “seo titles” so I decided to open the Google keyword tool and started to search for the same term. So it gave me a rough idea on what people search for in Google in order to find about the idea I got in my mind. So that’s how I formulated the first part of the title of this exact post.

Use The Exact Phrase:
Although Google tries to grab the keywords on random locations when displaying the search results to its users, it tends to give first preference to posts which has the exact same term in its title. For example for this post “SEO Page Titles” is the term I am shooting at to grab my visitors and I think its extremely important that I don’t alter the phrase.

Make A Brief Explanation About Your Article:

As you can see above the first part my title is the keyterm I am focusing on and the second part of it which comes after a hypen gives a brief explanation about what my article is about really. People like titles which are precise and to the point and also titles which gives them an idea about what your content is actually about. So it gives you an added advantage to get more click through for your indexed pages.

Hope that helps you to make up really good SEO titles which will help you a lot to get the visitors you desire for.
