Search Engine Directory Submission – Link To Directories Are Good?
Directories are neither normal websites nor they are search engines. Directories are just place where you can find and submit links which are normally edited by humans. However there are plenty of garbage directories out there which are totally automated and doesn’t have any human interference whatsoever.
Directories had their use once upon a time when there was no search engines, but soon after the introduction of yahoo and other search engines uses of directories started to fade off. But I have to mention that there are some really good human edited web directories out there which will really pass you the link juice and are capable of boosting your rankings from search engines.
For example a link Dmoz and yahoo directories are really valued a lot. You should know that yahoo is a paid directory and not all directories are free. There is a very good amount of paid directories out there.
Search engines like Google really valued the links from directories once but soon they realized the amount of spam links in free as well as paid automated directories and began to cut off the link juice from these directories through their special algorithms. But Google still rewards links from genuine human edited directories. So before you want to invest your money on web directory submissions make sure the directories where your link will be placed are of good quality and not spamy ones.
