decrease and growth My New Site Dropped Rankings All Of A Sudden
I often hear this same problem in Google webmaster forums, where people complain about their new site ranking well for few days and getting very good traffic but their rankings suddenly dropped and so is the traffic to their site from search engines. So why does this happen?

It always happens that when Google crawls your pages, especially when your site is relatively new, it also tend to index your contents, your contents may be very well unique, it happens sometimes that if it finds your site has a pretty good internal linking and if your site runs on a script that is very search engine friendly, it happens to index your pages on top for the particular keyword you focused the particular topic on, but you must know that this ranking is not permanent, it may last for couple of weeks long, till Google decides on a stable position for your page and after couple of weeks or so your pages might well tend to rank very low or even tend to disappear from Google search for that particular keyword. If it disappears then this is what we call as Google sandbox, but you cannot straight away conclude that your site is placed in Google sandbox because normally some times your pages will start to appear after few days, where as Google sandbox effect mostly tend to last for couple of months to year in some cases.

But as far as Google goes it always tend to look at new sites with some suspicion and normally when it indexes the pages of your new site immediately after you publish a post, just know that its not going to be the case on a long run and it will come to a point where your pages will take at least a week time to appear in the search results and your rankings may not be that good either like it was used to be before, but do not let your heart out in these circumstances because as you update your site often, load it up with more new contents and build links consistently you got a very good chance of quick recovery.

Just know that building a good site or blog requires a lot of patience on your side, as the competition gets pretty heavy everyday, search engines tend to give more importance only to older sites and sites that are updated regularly, so don’t expect any miracles to happen in a couple of weeks of your site launch.

Most people don’t understand the sandbox effect. They are always trying to look in forums about how to rank fast especially for extremely competitive keywords. If sandbox does not exist, we would have a lot of crappy Make Money Online sites ranking on first page of Google.
