How To Do Google SEO Yourself -Part 1

At first you might think that why SEO is so much focused around Google? or why am I even calling it Google SEO? why not Bing SEO? or Yahoo SEO? its natural that you might have this thought, in fact there is a high probability that you might have come across this page searching for Google SEO.

So why there is so much obsession behind that single word Google? reason is simple Google sets the trend in search engine world, they come up with new and interesting metrics in to their algorithm, that enhance their user experience, there by drives more users in to their system over other search engines around. Also more or less other search engines are tend to use similar ranking system like Google in to theirs. So what happens when you optimize your sites for Google is, you tend to rank high on other search engines as well and not only that your rank remains stable for a longer period of time on other search engines so that even if your rankings go down on Google, there is a high chance that you will still rank high for your keywords in other search engines and that might still drive you valuable traffic.

Also I would like to point out an interesting stat here. Google dominates 72% of the search market in the world and just before two years from now, it was around 48%, so just see the growth of Google despite the release of new search engine from Microsoft and their collaboration with Yahoo, Google is still growing in a steady phase and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Google taking over 80% of the search market share by the end of 2010. So it is another prominent reason why we have to focus on Google for our SEO efforts.

So Practically that explains why Google SEO holds the key to your site’s success. We will dive more deep in to Google in our next part on aspects of Google SEO.

    Although Google dominates the Search Engine market, saying that SEO done is focused on Google would not be true. SEO done does not depend on google. All search engine go through the Meta Tags and thus SEO in considered by all search engines.

    The milage and variations vary but saying SEO is for Google only is kind off unjust.

      You might be getting it wrong, I don’t say SEO is done mainly focused on Google, I am saying when you do your SEO focused on Google it would be a good practice to do, as other search engines tend to follow the foot prints of Google.
