How Long It Takes For Google To Detect Your Links

I have seen a lot of people wondering, when will Google really find my backlinks? some people even get frustrated when it takes longer. they are not happy when they see data on webmaster tools show only few links than what they have really built over few days.
There are certain things that you need to keep in mind on this subject and I will try to explain them one by one now.
1. Google Webmaster Tools Is Not Real Time Data:
Before we proceed further, I just want to let you know that what you see as your links in Google webmaster tools is not real data and they are not updated daily, then tend to update once in two or three days but even then you cannot results what you see in Google webmaster tools is accurate. In fact they are not accurate results, Google tend to give us outdated data about links to our sites. So there is a high possibility that they have found your links already but they are not yet updated in your webmaster tools.
2. How Frequently The Pages Where Your Links Are Present is crawled:
You need to take this factor in to consideration as well, if the pages where your links are present is not crawled that frequently then it might take more time to detect your links and update them as inbound links to your site.
3. Links On Dead Sites:
When you have acquired or bought a link from a site that is not updated and that is considered as a dead site by Google then there is a chance that those links takes further more time to get detected as its more probable that search engines stopped crawling these sites to look for updates.
4. Watch Out For No-follow:
When you build links just make sure those links are do-follow links and they will detected as inbound links to your site, if those links are rel=nofollow then those links will never be counted as a backlink to your site and will never be updated in webmaster tools. This is something you must keep in mind.
