Blog Comments Spamming Will Not Work Anymore

I don’t know how many of you have noticed the Google webmaster blog post lately where they have mentioned about spamming in the blog comment area. If you have not check it make sure to check it at Google webmasters blog. so you should by now be aware that Google has developed some sort of algorithm in their search engine that will spot spammed comments easily.

So the natural question arises will the previously made blog comments harm you or get your site penalized? I will not say that Google will penalize you for spamming your links on other blogs but you should be aware that links present in those blog comments will not carry any value for you in your search rankings. So if previously made comment links was in anyway lifting your rankings then you might probably see your rankings go down gradually.

However I really think Google will still value links that are present in really good comments. But my assumption is Google might think of devaluing links present in the comments area in future or don’t consider them at all probably for rankings in their algorithm just like the links present in general directories are not valued anymore. But for now let us not worry about it, its still a good practice to build links with really good comments that you can make on do-follow blogs.

Can you tell me how blog comments will be in spam?

usually comments with links that points to an unknown external site is considered spam. Other kind is making comments which is in no way related to the post in your blog. I usually approve comments which are not filtered by my akismet plugin, but there are few comments which escape akismet, I make sure they don’t get through.

      Hope that helps.

Those “nice post” types of comments are really an eyesore, don’t you agree? Even some of those people who are using keywords in their names give value to conversations, but there are some that just say “interesting” or something like that.
