Bing SEO What’s The Big Deal About It?
There has been a lot of discussions going on around many webmaster forums about Bing SEO and how to optimize your blog for the latest search engine from Microsoft. So do you really need to give special attention to Bing while optimizing your site?
Keeping in mind that Bing shares only 10 to 15% of the market share and also metric systems used in any of the three major search engines (i.e) Yahoo, Bing & Google are almost the same except for few things like, Bing search engines don’t care whether your links are do or no-followed, so almost all your external links carries some weight in terms of ranking.
Also just like Google or Yahoo, Bing does give more weight to your domain names which carries specific keyword in it, for example if your domain name is chickenrecipes.com then you got a very good chance to rank number one for the very term with very little external links pointing to your site, which is not the case with Google.
Bing also gives more weight to your domain age and when you develop a site over a old domain name you got a very good chance to rank high for your key terms very easily. Apart from it MSN bots don’t like flash based and site which has complex coding structure at its back end.
I would say there is not much difference with the way Bing and other search engines work and I wouldn’t give much attention just for ranking well in Bing, in my point of view if you can concentrate and optimize your website well for Google you will naturally start to rank high on Bing as well.
One big difference you will find with Bing is that, if your site is fairly new, it takes much more longer time to get indexed unlike Google and also your pages will take longer time to rank well in Bing.
