old people on computer 5 Reasons On Why You Should Prefer A Old Domain Name
I just noticed there is a little rise in demand for old domain names in webmaster forums, in fact I have seen webmasters who hold very established sites are running behind good old domain names, so I just thought I would write an article about it to let my blog visitors know as to why people prefer a old domain name over new one. As far as I can go, I can think of five possible reasons.

Google Sandbox:

People want to build sites which are not blocked for some period of time from search engines and mainly Google, buying a old domain name which is on for a while has high possibility that it might have got out of Google sandbox in the past, so you don’t have to wait much longer till you start to get visitors from search engines.

Trust Rank In Search Engines:
To be frank there are thousands and millions of sites that tend to disappear over a period of time and search engines don’t like those kind of sites as when they index the pages of those sites and when users don’t find any pages attached to those links in search index it potentially degrades the user experience. So search engines are very keen about only indexing the pages of sites that are most likely to stay online for a longer period of time. For this very reason search engines loves domain names and sites that are on for a longer period of time and search engines do develop some sort of trust with these domain names and show up the pages of these sites with older domain on front pages over new ones.

Easy To Get Your Pages To Rank High:
As I mentioned before search engines do trust the pages of domain names which are on for a much longer period of time and tend to rank the pages of these domain names higher over others, also your SEO efforts are reduced to a large extent with an old domain name which has a good keyword in it of course, otherwise what’s the point in ranking high for a keyword which people hardly search for?

Pages Indexed Quickly:
When your site is fairly new, it takes much longer time to get indexed where as when your domain name and site is old, your pages are most likely to get indexed faster and show up in search results.

Old Domain Names Increases Your Site Value:

With the advantages mentioned above demand for old domain names are always growing among potential people, so when you are in hold of a site which is on for a while with a good domain name, it only increases the value of your site when you want to sell it.
