5 Reasons Why Thesis WordPress Theme May Not Suit You
I know thesis is one of the most popular wordpress templates out there, and you may even think what in the world am I thinking when I saw why thesis may not suit you! I know this may probably new to you because no one has ever written such an article about thesis template so far.
I am not really being mean to thesis template lovers, In fact I am a great fan of thesis template myself and this blog runs on thesis, so its not that I hate thesis template, but I know there are few group of people who may not really like thesis and what it demands from its users. So this post might be little helpful for some who belong to that category. But just know that Thesis frame work is evolving to be a better theme with every major release and working hard to reduce the burden from users point of view.
1. This template doesn’t come with a very attractive default design, you may not like this theme just after you have installed it on your blog.
2. Not A Ready-made template, thesis is not a kind of template that you buy it and install it and you are ready to go, if you think it to be that kind of template then you are mislead.
3. Thesis on the other hand demands a lot of CSS knowledge from your side to make the theme look good, although recent release of thesis 1.6 removes a little head ache, but still you need to be well versed with CSS to make this template look good for your blog.
4. As I mentioned before thesis is not a ready made template, plus its more of a flexible template, you can alter it the way you want it to and that can be problem for some too, because you need to know how you want your blog to look like and design accordingly. I am sure many are not that patient enough, when you buy a template many people want to install the template and they expect that’s all they need to do.
5. If you are not good with designing and have no idea how you want your blog to be, then you will be required to hire some designer who of course are not going to come for cheap, so apart from paying for the theme, you will also be required to hire a designer, As far as I know thesis designers are not cheap you may have to end up paying more than what you have actually paid to buy thesis.
