I personally feel the above mentioned blog networks still work for the following reasons:

• The network has a huge public user base which means the footprint is much harder to find
• The content has to be high quality and can’t be automated spun material.  They will reject it.
• Articles must be at least 300 words.
• They have real people that moderate the quality of the content and will ban you if you submit poor quality content.
