So I am really happy to review this plugin today which definitely prove to be on-power with most popular similar plugins which you can find for wordpress.

So what so special about this plugin?

I am always a great fan of real time stats for my blogs, as it gives me an idea on what are the terms people use to find my pages in real time. Also real time stats are more accurate in my opinion. Apart from few draw backs of it like increasing your database size up to 500 times more and eating up your disk space, might slow down your site sometimes.

There are several choices with wordpress plugins for real time stats, one that have been my favorite for a long time now has been Wassup, though it did not received any updates for a long time now until today its still one of the best in my opinion for several reasons which I am going to list out in the rest of this article.

Gives You The Traffic Source

One of my favorite feature is it shows you the origin of your traffic, including the search engines and what keyword they used in search engines to find you, also if the traffic is not from search engines, it lets you know which web page is bringing you the traffic including direct hits.

Spider Activity

Apart from monitoring your visitors, you can also keep an eye over the bot activities which is more important to me. I want to know the bots activity on my blogs to know which ones to block on my robots.txt and which ones are consuming most of my bandwidth without any use. Also you can know whether pinging your posts is really useful in gathering some level attention from various search spiders and bots.

Stats graph

This plugin provides you with real time graph as well, which shows me what are the peak times when I get most of my hits and what are times the traffic gets dull for the period of 1 hour to all time the plugin has been active which is very useful to analyze the growth of my site over a period of time.

Keep An Eye Over Your Current Visitors

You can also watch over your current visitors who are online and what pages they are browsing etc.. which can be little fun at times. This plugin also indicates ip address and identifies people who already commented on the blog which is quite nice in my opinion.

Break Out Of Frames – Best Plugin To Convert Image Search Better

I know of a few seo professionals who voluntarily block search engines from indexing their hosted images in their site, because they believe most people who does image search in Google are scrappers and I do agree to their side of argument. But what if the case your blog’s traffic mainly depends on image search in Google?

I am sure if you are running a photo blog or blog based on wall papers or celebrity blog, most of the hits to your site would come from Google image search and I personally hold a blog on entertainment and celebrities where I get 80% of my hits from Google image search. So under these conditions I cannot afford to block search engines from indexing my images in my robots.txt, best way is to funnel through the people who does image search directly in to visiting your blog, although it might to some extent frustrate users but most people who visit your site through Google image search are mostly likely to be unique visitors because no one cares to look for the same image file over and over again.

This is where break out of frames plugin comes very handy. What this plugin does is simple, when a user clicks on an image hosted on your blog, it breaks the frame that is displayed at the top of the page in google image search and forces the user to visit your blog page directly to look at the image, this may also prove to increase your click through adsense and other ads you might have on your blog. Some people may argue that it will increase your bounce rate, but I found out from my own experience as I own a photo blog myself, my blog still has only 52% bounce rate which is not really bad.

Permalinks Moved Permanently Automate Your Url Redirects In WordPress

I would say this is one of the best wordpress and seo pugins you could get, how many times do you want to change your url structure or forced to change the permalinks and got in to the problem of facing too many 404 errors in your blog?

I don’t know about you but I faced this problem on one of my blogs last year and I had to install the redirection plugin and set up redirects for more than 200 urls which took me nearly 2 days to complete the work, I was not aware of the existence of this plugin way back then, if I had it would have reduced my work burden to such an extent that it would have reduced my work of two days to few minutes or even seconds.

This plugin automatically looks for the url slugs in your old permalinks and matches them with the appropriate new permalinks and redirects the visitors and bots automatically to the new url. Isn’t that really good? I would say yes of course it is. I would make sure I am including this plugin in my next update of wordpress seo for sure. For now I highly recommend installing this plugin in your blog as it would really reduce your 404 errors.

I was just going through some of the plugins on wordpress.org website, I came across this wonderful plugin and I am really happy that I am writing a review on this plugin for the simple reason, its a kind of plugin which I was looking for on a long time.
