This has been a constant head ache of me for quite sometime now, as soon as I upgraded my wordpress version to 2.9 everything seemed to work so smoothly until I had this problem over publishing my posts, everytime I try to publish a new post I would start to get a strange 404 error.
I tried different things to solve the problem but none seemed to have helped me combat this problem until I came across a thread in forums.digitalpoint.com here anyways I am not interested in annoying you by directing you to check out the solution there. So here is what you have to do.

This is a new feature that became available in latest wordpress version from 2.9 I believe, so if you are using an older version just know that you need to upgrade your wordpress to the latest version in order to make this tutorial helpful for you. Also its always a good practice to upgrade your wordpress software whenever there is a new version available as it makes your blog or site more secure from hackers.
So here is how you can update all your wordpress plugins which has updates available of course. Sometimes it really takes more time to update all your plugins one by one and its frustrating too, you can eliminate your time being wasted in performing those kind of updates by following these steps.
Step 1:
In your admin panel locate tools section and click on upgrade option under it.

I have been using wordpress practically on all of my projects and from my own opinion, I think wordpress is the best blogging platform you could ever get to work with for the following reasons, make sure you read them as it might be helpful for you if you are in a critical position to choose the best blogging platform for your project.
1. Wordpress Is Flexible:
One of the best reasons I choose wordpress is because of its flexibility, you can easily modify it to any of your site needs, I have seen many websites which are built with wordpress and its even surprising for me notice they have actually used wordpress to build build this site. Yes you can not only build blogs with it, you can effectively build a whole website or a video site or even an e-commerce site with it, that’s the amount of flexibility you can achieve.
