Understanding Miscellaneous Settings In WordPress
Miscellaneous settings can be accessed under settings option in your admin panel and using this settings you can alter the location where you want your uploads to be stored in your server.
Store uploads in this folder: This location points to where your current uploads are stored like your images or any other files you upload from your wordpress admin panel while creating a new post. If you want you can alter the location and point it to a new directory where you want your uploads to be stored.
Full URL path to files: This is totally an optional setting if you want you can specify the full url where on is your files are uploaded exactly, by default this is left blank and its not really necessary that you need to configure it unless you face some problem with uploads.
Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders: This is an optional setting again, what it does is it organizes your uploads in to separate folders depending up on the month and year when you have uploaded a particular file.
