Understanding HTML Editor In WordPress
WordPress by default comes with two editor options to make your posting options easy, I personally prefer using HTML editor, reason is its simple and also it produces more cleaner posts for search engines over visual editor and not only that HTML editors are really easy to use and very simple. I am sure many webmasters do prefer HTML editor over Visual editors in wordpress.
To choose HTML editor you can simple click on HTML by the side of Visual in the Add New Post area in your wordpress admin panel. Once you are through with HTML editor you will see the following editing options available to you.

b: It helps to make your text look bold.
i: It helps to italicize your texts to give that slightly slanting look to your texts.
Link: You might have guess it from the name itself that its used to create hyperlinks and also insert link inbetween your posts.
b-quote: If you want to quote any part of the text in your article then you can use this option to achieve that effect.
del: Del function simple makes a striking line over the selected text, you might have probably came across this kind of text on many blogs.
ins: It is used to insert ins tag it looks like a link depending up on the template you are using for your blog.

ul: Used to create unordered or bulleted texts
ol: Used to create ordered texts
li: Used to create some lists in your posts.
code: This tool is used to represent some specific codes that you want your user to know that they are codes. Usually urls, some specialized computer programming language codes are specified using code tags.
more: This one is used to insert “read more” link in your homepage especially when the article is relatively big to be displayed on the mainpage.
lookup: This option mainly looks up for an answer at www.answer.com not an interesting feature to talk about really.
close tags: This tool helps to insert close tags, I must say this one is not really that specialized with inserting close tags so use with some awareness.
