Easy Guide On How To Install Wordpress Themes

Wordpress made things easy on so many ways, the way which you can upgrade the software, install plugins and install themes as well. Today we will see how you can easily find and install themes in your wordpress blog practically without any serious effort.

Most people feel lazy to unzip their theme files and upload it to appropriate directory in order to install a theme, that’s a long way round out there. But wordpress really reduces you work in this aspect, you are no more expected to unzip and upload the theme files through your ftp software. Just follow the steps below to ease your installation of wordpress themes.

I am going to explain two methods here, first method is when you have the downloaded theme zip file in your computer and the second method is how you can search for appropriate themes to suit your needs right from your admin panel and installing it directly.

Step 1:
Go to appearance option and click on add new themes option.

Step 2:
Click on the upload option at the top.

Step 3:
Browse and location your theme zip file and upload it and activate your theme.

Method 2:

Step 1:
Its the same as above.

Step 2:
You will find there are many options that you can choose from, like you can choose the color you want, you can use some term on what you are looking in your theme, How many columns, features, width etc.. and do a search.

Step 3:
Once you start to see your results appearing, you will have an option to view preview of that theme, if you like the theme then you can just go ahead and install the theme and activate it to get it live on your blog.
